The violinist and violist Bojan Cvetrežnik was born in Maribor where he also attended the Conservatory Maribor and the Secondary School of Natural Sciences. He got his degree under the supervision of Professor Mile Kosi (1993), his utmost gratitude goes to Professor Helfried Fister for teaching him the technique. He had acquired broad knowledge while participating in master classes by viola players, such as Kim Kashkashian, Diemut Poppen, Tabea Zimmermann, Laszlo Barshony, Carol Rodland, Hartmud Rohde and Mathias Buchholz. He won the competition of Young Musicians of the Republic of Slovenia with a string trio. 

He had worked as a viola and chamber music professor at the Conservatory Maribor and was employed at the Ljubljana Opera Orchestra as a solo viola and also performed as a solo violinist in the performance Varekai by the Canadian art theatre Cirque de Soleil. Finishing his studies of classical music he got acquainted with varied jazz, diverse folk music, improvisation and theatre. Bojan Cvetrežnik has recorded dozens of records with various ensemble (Terrafolk, All Capone Štrajh Trio, Funtango, Bluegrass Hoppers, New Strings & Renato Chicco, and Amnesty Trio). Moreover, he has performed with the Big Band RTV Slovenia and Fool Cool Orchestra as a soloist.
