The cellist Zsofi Klacsmann was born in Budapest. She began her musical journey at the Frédéric Chopin Music School, Gödöllő where she got acquainted with the cello under the guidance of her mentor Ibolya Joo. She continued her education at the Conservatory Béla Bartók under the supervision of her mentor Zsolt Pukas. She graduated from the Academy of Music Ferenc Liszt in Budapest in cello teaching under the guidance of Alexandra Velez and concert studies under the guidance of Katalin Sin. During the course of her studies she furthered her knowledge by working with acknowledged professors, such as Jozef Podhoransky (Academy of Music Bratislava), Alexander Baillie (Academy of Music Bremen), Piroska Molnar (solo cellist of the chamber orchestra Weiner Szasz in Budapest), international chamber ensemble Colluvio, MIO 2012 – Workshops with Igor Mitrovič (solo cellist of the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra). 

Zsofi Klacsmann also worked with many renowned conductors, e.g. Francesco Rosa, Renato Palumbo (Italy), Karen Kamensek (USA), Tobias Foskett (Australia), Klaus Arp (Germany), Claude Schnitzler (France), Marko Letonja, Uroš Lajovic, Anton Nanut (Slovenia). Since 2007 she has been a member of the Orchestra of the Slovene National Theatre Maribor.
