Boštjan Korošec was born in Celje and began his vocal studies at the Music School in Velenje where he graduated with honours and afterwards continued his education at the Faculty of Education Maribor and at the Academy of Music Ljubljana. He graduated in 2006 under associate professor Irena Baar and with his mentor the university lecturer Vlatka Oršanić. He won the third prize at the International Singing Competition in Moscow in 2008 and had his début as the count Urh in the opera The Noblemen of Tehar (Teharski plemiči). He furthered his education at the Académie Internationale d'Eté de Nice, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts London under acknowledged singing professors, such as Prof. Dragica Kovačič, Art. Mag. Barbara Jernejčič Fürst, Mag. Valentin Enčev, Doc. Vlatka Oršanić, Elizabeth Vidal, André Cogne, Brett Manning and at various singing seminars in Slovenia and abroad. 

Since 2009 he has been working on his BMA studies in the USA. He often performs at various concerts with diverse vocal ensembles in Slovenia and abroad. The Orchestra of the Academy of Music Ljubljana, Symphony Orchestra of the Slovene National Theatre Maribor, The Orchestra of the House of Culture Celje only to name a few orchestras with which he had performed.
